Does lugging large stacks of books, in- and out-doors, count as daily exercise? Here is part of my stack of Toronto Reading that’s off the shelves these days.

My answer: “Yes!” 🙂 It is exercise of the very best kind, because it exercises both your body and your imagination!
So double credit then! Since I posted this, the temperatures and humidity have dramatically altered. The stacks have gotten smaller, but at least it’s still exercise I can manage in the summer to keep up my *ahem* routine.
It counts in my book! Were stairs involved? Then it counts double! I like the sound of Cabbagetown. I need to read some Atwood this year–have I already said that, or do I just keep thinking it? And what is the book with the green spine? Can’t read the title. I know this is your Toronto pile, but where’s Q? 😉
You would love Cabbagetown, the place, not necessarily the book. Add it to your itinerary for TO! More Atwood is always in order, I think. And Johnny hasn’t gotten to Toronto in Q yet (in my edition, at least – heheh), but if he gets there, I hope there are just as many maps as there are for London, England. But if The Quincunx was in this stack? I would be counting double exercise! (The green book is the first in Austin Clarke’s Toronto Trilogy, The Meeting Place.)
Yes it does — well, if so, then I am also getting the recommend amount of daily exercise 😉
What is the green title? It’s the only one I can’t puzzle out…
I added “Map My Walk” to my phone the other week, but I don’t see the setting for “Book Stack Lug”. If you get the same app, and you can find that column, we can join and compare workouts real-time. “Walk My Stack”. It’s Austin Clarke’s The Meeting Place. (Congrats on deciphering the Govier stories!)
I think it should count as exercise 🙂
I know, right? I mean, check out that coffee table number on the bottom!
Love this! Yes, taking this stack in and out of the house counts as exercise! 🙂 I hope you post the rest of your stack too. Maybe I should post my stack now?
Definitely: stacks and stacks and more stacks. Please.
Of course it counts as exercise! Especially the hardcovers. Sometimes just carrying one of those around is exercise enough.
I just realized you said “part of” your stack. I was about to ask “is that all?”:p
Like you can talk. This is just the equivalent of this week’s library stack for you, right? 😛
