Mini Update Sticky Post: April 15, 2025

If you’re looking to catch up? Check out my reflections on 2024’s reading, and plans for 2025.

These days, I’ve been obsessing over Agustina Bazterrica’s stuff. And Bill and Bron and I are slowly reading through George Saunders’ A Swim in a Pond in the Rain. My latest addition to my #ShelfofMexico is Guadalupe Nettel. Next up for Spanish-language books? Felisberto Hernandez. For other short stories? Kim Bo-Young’s I’m Waiting for You. Serially, I’m enjoying Thomas King’s newest, Black Ice. And rereading Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden. Just for fun? Kev Lambert’s Les sentiers de neige.

2025’s reading is fabulous, so far. But how about you: what are you reading these days, and what are you looking forward to reading soon?
